Galleries Celebrities Sarah Jessica Parker in 'Sex and the City 2' The "Sex and the City" babes entertained a different sort of audience Monday in Glen Cove as Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis tried to charm the toddler sitting on Davis' lap while the actresses filmed scenes for their next movie.
In between calls for "action" on the set of "Sex and the City 2," the actresses hummed together, trying to keep the little girl happy. When she cried, the staff told Davis not to worry; it was fine if she fussed in the scene.
The fearsome foursome were filming an upscale brunch-style meal at the private Salutations Mansion on the Long Island Sound. The set had the feel of New York City's Central Park Boathouse Cafe. Cattrall wore a deep blue racer-back dress, Nixon an emerald green number, Parker wore a lime green and yellow striped top, and Davis was in a typically demure white sundress.
In addition to the toddler on Davis' lap - ostensibly the baby she was pregnant with at the end of the first "Sex and the City" film in 2008 - an older girl, probably meant to be Davis' older adopted daughter from China, sat on Parker's lap.
Word is that the scene had something to do with a celebration for one of the women's gay friends, either Stanford or Anthony. At the table behind the "SATC" pals sat four gay men, attired in colorful lavender, peach and orange shirts.
Chris Noth, who plays Mr. Big, wandered in and out of the set, dressed in a white V-neck T-shirt, giving a hug to Davis and having lunch with the cast and crew members, but he wasn't in the scene filmed Monday afternoon. The cast will continue filming at the same location Tuesday. The set is not open to the public.
The movie is scheduled to be released around Memorial Day 2010.
