I171H
Hi Ladies,
Just wondering -- I've heard there's a great delay in receiving paperwork from Immigration. How long did it take all of you to receive your I171Hs? (or whatever they're called...) TIA!
Maureen already submitted my homestudy report to NB! She's awesome. So now I'm just waiting for a fingerprint appt and I still have to put together a little album for the foster mom. Then it's just the wait!

Re: I171H
How about the rest of you -- Karen -- Michele -- how long after your homestudy was written up did it take for you to get a fingerprinting appt? After your fingerprinting appt, how long did it take you to get the paperwork sent to you? Trying to figure out when my munchkin is going to arrive!

Re: I171H
I had my appt about 3-4 weeks after my homestudy was submitted.

Re: I171H
It was so long ago I don't remember really but I think it was very quick. About 2 weeks from the Homestudy and paperwork sent in then about a week to wait for the appointment and I had the final paperwork within a month and that was delayed a bit because we were in the middle of moving and changed addresses.

Re: I171H
Oh, one big thing was that I never changed my driver license when I got married and I was not allowed to have my finger print appt until I did that and got the new card. So make sure your name is exactly the same everyplace.

Re: I171H
Thanks for your responses and advice. Good News ... I got my fingerprinting appt in the mail today. It's for Tuesday which is PERFECT timing bc I'm going to a seminar in the city Wednesday - Friday that my company is paying mega bucks for and I'd feel too guilty backing out on and the following week Joe is going to be in Vegas. We were so worried that it would come while he was away! So Excited!

I'll be going in with Joe from Ronkonkoma. I think the place is near the Chrystler Bldg but I'm not 100% sure. I have to check.

Re: I171H
Got my fingerprinting done today and saw another NB adoptive couple there that I knew! Very Excited. Now we pray that the I171H comes sooner than NB is projecting! Thanks for all your support.
