ibs question

soooo girls (or gents) with IBS how do u know its acutally.. i know i have to go to the doctor
but i wanted some real answers not the clincial ones i find on websites....
what made you realize you had a problem and go to the doc to get it checked out?
ive been having problems for like 2 years off and on and its to the point where now it wakes me up ... soooo i know i have to get it checked out but any info or insight would be great
soo after my rambling above i basically want to know... what made you go to the doc, how was the diagnosis made and what treatments do you get if any...

I have IBD which is different but can have the same symptoms. I got to the point that anything I ate hurt me and I was running to the bathroom all the time.

I had a series of tests done and was diagnosed. The main test is a colonoscopy. That's the most conclusive although the most invasive. But it's not that bad.

Don't suffer needlessly..get it checked out.
