iCarly, Big Time Rush...do your kids watch
And if so, how old are they? Or if you know kids who watch these shows, how old are they? I know a lot of kids who watch them that are 6, 7, 8, 9... and it was my understanding the are teen or tween shows. I checked on line to see about appropriate age audience and I've seen a range of ages, some say not for under 5.
Thoughts?

We are big icarly fans at this house. Damien is 7 and Jaidy will be 4. It is pretty harmless. I only cringe when they have the occasional kiss. Damien watches Big Time Rush and I try to avoid it like the plague  I tried to avoid it as long as possible but he knows how to check the parental ratings and shows me it is okay for his age. We also watch True Jackson VP and Victorious.

My dc and I love icarly and big time rush. DD is 7 years old, turning 8 and my ds is 6 years old. I dont find the show too old for them. Its pretty harmless.

DS 7yo is a icarly fan. He has no interest in BTR. I dont care for Sam on icarly but she is so over the top that its easy to see wrong from right.

DD (5) loves iCarly, but hasn't seen Big Time Rush. I've watched iCarly with her & I'm comfortable with it. Seems harmless enough to me.

DS LOVES these shows, he will be 8 in January but has been watching since at least 6, maybe sooner. Like a pp mentioned, some of it is so over the top its a good opportunity to teach right from wrong. Plus, the shows are kinda enjoyable for parents too. Love BTR!!

They don't watch iCarly, but DD started watching Disney (like Hannah and Wizards of Waverly) between ages 5 and 6 and I thought she was too young. DH had different opinions so that is why she started it watching them then, if it were up to me I would have waited until she was 7. Plus, I have a younger DD and she missed out on Noggin-type shows that were age appropriate because her older sister wanted to watch Disney shows.

DS is 7 and likes iCarly. DD is 4 and watches it too. Not sure if she likes it, or watches it because DS likes it....

DS is going to be 8 soon and he watches those shows & the disney channel shows. We watch them together. I am a big fan of iCarly and Suite Life.

This is my house too. DD who is ~6 has been watching Hanna Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place and Suite Life on Deck for a while now. I dont love these shows but I dont think they are horrible either. Unfortunately DD who is 3 also sees these shows since her sister watches them. We now make more of an effort to have her watch TV separately.

My 8.5 year old loves those shows.
His younger brother (5 yrs old) says he loves them too, but I don't think he really "gets" it.

DD is 4.5 - she has seen icarly a few times, she seemed to like it but I dont really let her watch it because I think its way too grown up for her. I dont wanna rush it - I like her watching nick jr shows instead 
Ive never heard of the other show.

My girls - age 9 & 7 watch ICarly regularly and just started BTR but not all time. My 7 yr was very big into Carly last year (and so were the girls in her first grade class).
