Ideas needed for a gift for a soon to be mummy that has EVERYTHING...
she is a very special friend and Godmother to both my children and is expecting her 1st DD this October ...
i really want to get her something original and just for her ...
i will be getting alot of things from her registry but i also wanted to get her something special just for her .....
im at a loss as to what .. any ideas or things you got when you had your 1st.....

How about a mommy necklace with DD's birthstone or something like that?
I saw a beautiful necklace @ Kay Jewelers that was a heart with a mom cradling a baby in the middle.

Probably not what you are looking for but the BEST thing I got was FOOD!!
Either cook a few meals for her or order her meals through a service. She will be busy taking care of herself and a newborn and already made, hot meals are the best.

Does she already have a cleaning person? If not what about a maid service to come right before the baby is born and for the first few weeks/months after??
A GC to have really nice maternity photos taken??
GC for a prenatal massage/ spa day.

One of the nicest things I got was a handmade crocheted baby blanket.
I also really love my Burberry diaper bag -- my sister got it for me.
I think anything a little bit special like a keepsake album, or something personalized or a Precious Moments figurine will be appreciated by the Mommy to be. Oh and I also love a Nao statuete that I received,

When I had my second, both my sister and BFF did this for me and it was the best present ever.

A close friend of mine gave me a gift certificate to the salon I go to so I could get a mani/pedi. That was FABULOUS.
Another friend made a few meals for DH and I. They were frozen so all we had to do was heat them up. THAT was greatly appreciated.

Definately photography session!!! Love this idea. You said something for her though, how about a shopping bag full of items for her....or, pack her her hospital bag for the hospital. A new Vera Bradley with some new pj's and some of the hospital stuff she may need?
