idiocy and poor parental easter planning
we're packing up the car to go to brooklyn.....
diapers check
bottles check
water check
changing pad check
change of clothing check
pjs check
toys check
coat check
hat check
boppy check
stroller check.......
we're over an hour away from home (easter sunday at almost 2pm) and mom says 'where's the formula'
Holy cr@p.... we only had the 'emergency formula' in our diaper bag... maybe enough for 8 oz?
whenever stuff like this happens, either DH or I say something truly moronic... DH says " so what, we have 4 scoops of baby food, he'll be fine for the day"
I vetoed the 'let's not stop for fomula' idea pronto....
mercifully, we got off of the LIE and found a CVS that is open.....
Poor DS.... he always has these 'new parent' incidents

We've all been there. When we pack for a trip, I tell DW "There's nothing that we can't pick up at a store, so we just need to be prepared enough to get us to a store that has what we need."

I did that for Thanksgiving  DH had to find a place that was open to buy her formula.

Totally happens to everyone! I always bring the RTF single containers when I am out but on more times than I care to admit, I would forget the nipples for them!!!! Talk about DUH!!!

Happens to all of us! The ONE day I did not take my diaper bag, DS did a HUGE poopie and I only had 1 diaper in my car and "tissues". Some pooped fell and rolled under my seat. It was an interesting day to say the least.

Shoot- we forgot to bring a diaper bag to DD #1's first PED appointment. They had us take all her clothes off and she had pooped. Plus she was screaming. We had: no extra diaper, no wipes, no paci.
The nurse looked at us like, "Hmph.... rookies..."
