If a park was behind your home...

and it was fenced, not a privacy one....the town obviously provided the fence, would you add a fence around it for privacy?

YES!!! We have something similar, we have a Senior Citizen complex next to us (we are on a dead end). Our backyard was fenced in by the town chainlink. DH & I wanted privacy, so we added a PVC fence over the summer. It has made a WORLD of a difference. Look in my album for before & afters...

Yes, I would. We have 2 dogs, and they would go nuts barking at whoever was in the park if we didn't.

Re: If a park was behind your home...

Yes. My BIL & SIL have a set up like that and they added a PVC fence. I wouldnt want to sit in my backyard and be on view for whoever is in the park. Their town didn't have a fence around the park though so SIL put a gate so the kids can go into the park that way instead of walking around the block.

Re: If a park was behind your home...

I totally would! We had a chain link fence and although it was covered by overgrown bushes we really wanted a PVC.
So over the summer we got it and what a difference. It is so nice to have our yard to enjoy now. Chat Icon

Re: If a park was behind your home...

Yes, I would put up a nice PVC fence that one can't see through -- as high as allowed by the town.

ETA -- This is not only for privacy reasons, but for safety as well.

yes - we have a park in our backyard too. Our pool is back there, so it's for privacy and safety. We also have a bunch of trees and bushes in front of it too - and the town has trees on their side as well.

We have a 4 foot chainlink on our side (also the park entrance) and we just have bushes and small trees and my poor dog goes crazy each and every time someone walks by (especially in the winter when he can see everything)

ETA: it's basic stockade fencing in the back - since it's quite hidden

Re: If a park was behind your home...

Coram Elementary school was in my backyard growing up. And my parents put up a fence in front of the chain link. There were already some bushes there. But the fence deterred the neighborhood kids from walking through our backyard to the school.
