If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
Do you think they are really speaking to you or do you think it is just a dream??? I had dreams about my aunt coming back from the dead last night and I swear when I woke up she was in the room with me and so was my grandfather...I was a little freaked out

It's never happened to me, but yes I do truly believe that.
Kathleen, your aunt never hurt you in life, so she wouldn't be out to cause you harm or pain now.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
IMO, it's not that person talking to you. I think that it's something that's underlying that you may not be conciously thinking about, but when sleeping, someone who has passed kind of 'connects' to what's there and that's why you see them.
Does that make sense?
For example, my grandfather came to my mother once to tell her to call her cousin who we had not spoken to in years because of a family rift.
I know that my mom was hurt when we stopped talking to them and that she really wanted to connect to them again. I think that need surfaced in a dream.
So, I'm rereading what I wrote, and realize it makes no sense whatsoever. I have no idea how to explain it

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
My dad "came to me" one night in a dream and I truly believe he was talking to me as he was saying you don't know why things happen in life and my grandpa was standing behind him, meaning he was the next to die and he was 5 months later.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
I have had a load of dreams about my grandmother, and a lot of times they are not good ones - mostly nightmares about her suffering - because I think I am traumatized by the way she died (she died of lung and liver cancer - it was horrific to watch happeningto her).
One night about a month ago I had one that was more pleasant - where she was smiling at me - and she was sitting at a table with her sisters - all of whom are gone. I like to think that she was really there and letting me know she was happy and she was with everybody.
These dreams are so vivid though that they are scary.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
I have to believe that it is the person talkng to you.
I saw my grandfather in my dream not too long ago. I hate to say it - but I hadn't thought about him in a while and I totally forgot about the 10yr anniv of his death. I had a dream about him the night before (i was waking up on the actual day)
The dream was so strange. It was people running around from house to house and he was just sitting watching us. I kept saying "we have to go see grandpa' very freaky.
I was a little freaked out when I spoke to people later that morning and remembered that it was the anniv. of his death.
I also had another experience a couple of years ago. Too long to type though.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
I had a similar experience with my Grandma, twice actually. Right before my wedding I had a dream that she was in my living room and I went to her. She didn't talk to me but was smiling and looking at my hands (I have no idea). When I woke up, I was sitting in my living room, that's how real it was, I actually got up to look for her in my sleep and I'm not someone to sleep walk or anything.
I had another dream right after she passed that she was calling me on the phone but I kept missing her calls. So freakin real that when I woke up, I went to my phone to check my messages.
Sometimes I think it was her coming to me but I'm not 100% sure.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
A few days after my grandfather died, I had a dream that I was in a car with my aunt (who my grandfather was very close with) and we were driving down his block, and I saw him walking towards his home, I got out of the car and went up to him and all he did was smile at me, and looked up at his house. I think he was telling me that he is ok and he's going home to my grandmother. He loved his house. My mom and grandmother cried when I told them about my dream, they said he did come to me in my dream.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
After my cousin died from cystic fibrosis right before his 24th bday, I was really depressed. I dreamt that he was alive again (it was weird - in my dream, he died too, but came back to life) and everyone was so happy.
And we were talking, and I swore he was really there
I named Cailen after him - his middle name is Reed. My cousin's name was Richard.

I honestly believe that those vivid dreams are that person speaking to you. At least, that's what John Edward told me when I mentioned it at a reading.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
I'm not spiritual at all.... so I don't think they're 'visiting' or trying to communicate with you....
I DO think, though, that you may either miss them, or have unresolved issues or thoughts that you are working out in your own dreams.... if that makes sense

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
I've had dreams of my nana after she passed. One was on her bday (i didn't know) and i told other members and that freeked them out.
my dh's father just passed and he had some good dreams, like his father is telling him that he is there.
i'm not religious and i'm agnostic so i figure if i have a dream of a dead relative either they or something in my subconscienese is trying to tell me something. It is nice to think that dead relaitves can visit me.

I understand you! And I agree.
My grandfather was ill, but his death was unexpected as he went into the hospital for some tests, the kept him overnight and he died early the next morning. We were very close to him and my Nan. I was only 12, but I was really upset that I hadn't seen him for about 2 weeks before he died. One night I dreamt that I was on a school field trip to a museum/aquarium thing. We were in a dark bluish room/hall with a big window or tank or something on one side. The class walked out one exit and I was left alone in the room and my grandfather came in from the other entrance. He didn't say anything, just walked up to me and hugged me. When I woke up I had such a feeling of peace. I really think it was just on my mind and I felt badly that I hadn't seen him, but it was a wonderful dream.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
I have had vivid dreams of both my grandparents after they had passed. I had a hard time of letting go of the fact that they were no longer here. I felt it was both of them coming to let me know it was ok & that they were ok! In one of them, my grandfather actually spoke to me & I remember telling my mom. When I woke up, I went running down the steps calling his name bc I thought he was there.

Re: If a relative who has passed away comes to you in a dream...
I think so. I lost my aunt a few years ago and we were very close. I had a dream that she called me on the phone. I said "Titi (tia is aunt in Spanish; titi is what we called her), I haven't talked to you in so long!" She only said, "Oh, baby, I'm here!" It was so neat. Kinda like...she's with me.
