If anyone frequents the Bethpage Car Wash in Hempstead TPKE...

I just wanted to give you a heads-up...

My DH is handicapped, so we have a handicap parking permit.

I recently went to the car wash, and forgot to put the handicap permit away in the glove box or console or in my purse before I handed the car over to them.

I realized later in the day that it was missing.

My DH had to go to the 8th precinct, fill out a report in order to get it replaced.

When he was there the officer who took the report said that they get a LOT of complaints about things being stolen from cars that go to that car wash.

So just a reminder, take anything valuable with you or at least hide it really good when you get a car wash...you never know. I know I take it for granted when I go to a place often, but you never know.
