Hey don't knock that! An old co-worker of mine who knew an old lady who did that for like 20 years and bought herself a house. She was a blue collar worker from a bad area of the Bronx, but she saved all her nickles. Insane!

My grandpa has ALWAYS collected cans! He uses it for his spend money and towards golfing!

My grandpa has ALWAYS collected cans! He uses it for his spend money and towards golfing!
My grandpa used to collect cans for us kids for spending money. Sometimes we'd get like $50 because he'd have so much for us. And when we got older and didn't want to deal with it anymore my dad kept the money and bought brand new door knobs for the entire house after a few trips.
