If Corzine is tapped for Sec. of the Treasury
who would replace him? Will NJ have to have another election?

I think your state senate president steps in to become acting governor. is Richard Cody still that person or did he move on? can't recall though if that person stays governor until the next regularly scheduled election or if they hold a special election.

my personal opinion is he won't be picked, only reason I think that is b/c the current secretary (Hank Paulson) is the former CEO of Goldman Sachs, and Corzine is also Goldman alumni......I just have a feeling Obama won't pick more people from Goldman since Paulson already appointed quite a few former colleagues.

That's a good point.
I was just curious how all this works. ISo many jobs get changed when a new president comes in, and how the appointee's old job gets filled confuses for me.
