If DC slept in your room before moving to their own...
...at what age did you move them to their own room?

I had my son in a co-sleeper with me for 6 months and I would do exactly that agagin with my next baby. I loved having him right next to me.

We moved her very late - we had her in her bassinet until about 3 days past her 5 month bday.

I finally can say we have the new crib put together, and this weekend i want to get a fire alarm for her room and hooks for her video monitor and then she will go in .. she on sat she will be 3 1/2 months old, we did plan on putting her in her own room at 6 wks old, but crib was recalled.

I think DD was about 3 1/2 - 4 months. I didn't even want to do it that soon but she outgrew her bassinett. I loved having her in our room and listening to her breath.

7 weeks old. He outgrew the bassinet at that point. We planned on doing it at 3 months.

Still not moved yet at 6 months. He outgrew his bassinet at 2.5 months but decided to bring the crib to our room.
I still like just lifting my head at night to check on him and not having to actually get up.

3 months, mostly b/c I was returning to work and would have woken her up in the mornings when I got up to get ready. She sleeps so much better in her own room, more soundly!

6 weeks...I wanted to make sure she was in her crib before I went back to work and since DH has to sleep with fan and watch tv before bed, it was quieter in her room...

We had DD in our room in a cradle for the first 8 weeks. Then she got colic and basically slept in our bed for the next 6-8 weeks. We moved her to her own crib at almost 4 months old.

About 7-8 weeks but he is now almost 12 weeks and DH moves him back into our bedroom before he leaves for work in the AM. That makes it easier for me to get through the morning, as I am not a morning person. DH insisted on moving DS into his own room because he felt that I needed better sleep and that he would do most of the tending to the baby during the night.  Now the baby sleeps through anyway but it was nice of DH.

6 Months
She was napping in her crib from day one but she slept at night in our room in a cradle. I LOVED having her right next to me especially in the beginning when BFing. At 6 months she was a little to big & starting to roll over so we switched her to her crib in her room.

I moved them to the crib when they started to roll from back to belly. DS was 3 onths old, DD was 4 1/2 months old.
