Yes....I heard mine at 7wks. 
Its exciting!
ETA: I also saw it too. I have seen it everytime I have had a sono. The best part!

YES!! You should but if you don't, don't worry. We saw and heard ours at 6 weeks and it was truly amazing, but I know a lot of people don't see or hear it until further along.

I saw the heartbeat, but I didnt get to actually hear it until 12 wks

You may be able to. How exciting. Don't get scared either..it may take a while to find it because the baby when they are that small move around alot. It took a while for Dr. Hanauer to find my son's heartbeat. It was the longest 30 seconds of my life!

I think you'll be able to see/hear it during an internal sono
With DD we heard and saw it at 7w5 days

we saw it already at the last sono pretty strongly, but we have yet to hear it. I just want to know the sound so that we can get the at home one & recognize what we are listening for.
Plus I am an impatient byotch.

we didn't hear it- I think we saw it- but i'm not sure if the machine my doc had in the office had sound.

They will start to try to hear the heartbeat with a doppler. I don't know if she will give you another sonogram. She will send you for the Ultrascreen soon.
