If my dog ate a hairband/rubber band...how and when would I know?

I had a rubber band/hair band thiny on my arm during my sleep. I don't recall putting it away, so I am not sure if I dropped it and my dog got it. I retraced my steps and can't find it. I could have put it away in my half sleepwhen I woke up but don't recall.

If my dog got it and ate it, how and when would I know? Vomiting? Intestinal blockage/no stool? I am so upset...I am usually very careful but I was half asleep and just don't recall what I did with it!!!

from my experience you will see it in the poop, it won't digest so it will come out whole or in peices depending on if your dog chewed it or just swallowed, my dog sometimes poops out stuff I never knew he found, its gross
