If there is a food you like that DH doesn't...
Or vice versa...
Do you never incorporate it into your cooking?
The mushroom post got me thinking....I love them DH hates them so I never put them in meals anymore

Corn!
DH hates it... So when I have a taste I make it for me and make sure nothing he will eat touches it... He despises it that much!

Re: If there is a food you like that DH doesn't...
If there are foods he likes and I don't and vice versa - we do not make it
And it really stinks - especially with seafood. I LOVE seafood and DH is allergic - so I can never make it.
But he is very good about going out to dinner in places that I can have seafood at

he doesnt like any vinegar but half the time he doesnt realize that i sneak it in there anyway
i think the champagne & white wine vinegars are way mild, so those he can tolerate
but in general he does not like vinegar

Re: If there is a food you like that DH doesn't...
Indian food! He hates it although I dontthink he has ever tried it.
Its a painful experience trying to cook for him because he does not eat any vegetable except for lettuce and eggplant and he is not a big meat eater too. Just chicken and it has to be boneless. He eats like crap. He could live on pizza, pasta, chinese food and sushi.
One night I was pressed for time and make shake and bake chicken cutlets and he said it was delicious..

Any food DH doesnt' like (or that I don't like) are not incorporated into the food we cook.

DH won't eat onions in any form, and I love onions. So I'll sneak them in there by cooking them down so they don't crunch.

I am the fussy eater, and I do feel guilty for not making more things that he likes. But he said he doesn't care.
