Re: if they wake up cranky from a nap..
If dd wakes up crankie from morning nap, then I try and get her down a bit sooner for afternoon nap than I normally would. If afternoon nap shes crankie.. depending on how crankie.. I either put to bed at reg. time or if shes really crankie ill put her down about 1/2 hour to an hour earlier to bed for night. I try not to go to early b/c then she will wake up earlier the next day and be off schedule.
Their are days she wont do both naps and days she wont do either naps (like today shes playing in crib and not napping). I never tried putting her down for a nap right after shes gotten up from a nap.. she wouldnt do it.

Re: if they wake up cranky from a nap..
It depends. If DD wakes up much earlier than her nap and sounds PO'd I leave her for a good 15 minutes. A lot of times she will go back to sleep and wake up happy, but if I go in and she sees me there would be no going back to sleep.
If after 15 mins she is still awake and I go in, 9 times out of 10 she has woken up b/c she pooped (TMI, sorry). After the diaper change there is no way she will go back to sleep.
