If we were picking up my brother and SIL from Kennedy at 7:15P tomorrow..

What time would we need to leave the house? We are in Nassau County.They are coming in on an international flight. Do we have to go through security as well????

I would give it an hour. But remember, they have to go through customs and pick up their baggage.

We usually call my dad when we get out of the plane and he waits outside. If not, you can park the car and wait inside for them.

Depends when you go though, traffic can be killer.

I would also give it about an hour, you can go to the airline's website and track the flight to see what time it is coming in. It takes on average about an hour after international flights land for them to clear customs & immigration, IF the flights are on time, if a few are deleyad it tends to get backed up in immigration and takes longer.

I agree with the others, but remember one thing. Belt Parkway. Monday rush hour traffic I used to commute evenings to Brooklyn from Nassau for work and the western part of SS parkway and the Belt around JFK is always jammed. I dont know where in Nassau you are coming from. I used to go from East Meadow and would pass JFK airport on the Belt about 45 minutes-1 hour later depending on if the traffic was bad or REALLY bad. If you arent planning on getting there until after 8 pm, giving them time to get through, the traffic will have eased up a bit. HTH!

How long does it take you in regular traffic? I would just add 15 mintues to that and aim to get there about 8.

They have a cell phone lot where you can wait if you get there too early...have your brother call when he's just about ready to be picked up.

If you are going against rush hr it won't be so bad.

I live in Bethpage and make it there in about 35 minutes. I would not park but try to circle and meet them in a spot-say #4 outside of baggage. that's where I meet my car company.

The flight gets in at 7:15 international then they would probably make it out around 8:00pm. Leaving at 6:45 gives you plentt of time. If you are early, park and meet them with a sign! I think that's funny!

I would leave 2 hours earlier because i wouldn't want to be stuck in the traffic jam, Plus if you did get there early you can park your car and just sit and wait for them.
