I guess I should've made this a poll but… I'm on mobile

Feel free to make a poll.

While I think it's great for everyone to have insurance and I think that there are many good things about it, the people that I do know who have bought it… They are paying a lot and find it very hard to afford.

I don't use it because I have insurance through my employer. Sometimes I think that people on the left maybe you don't realize how much their hard-working American citizens are paying for this. I sure didn't until a friend shared with me. They have 3 kids and the cost was insane.

Does anyone care to share how much they spend on it?

For a single its about $350 but it also depends on what level you choose. Some levels are more expensive than others.

Re: If you actually have to pay for Obamacare, what do you pay?

We were paying $1450 for a couple and it was going up to $1750. my drs didn't take it and with the 2017 renewal, they lost more then half of the hospitals and a 1/3 of the drs on their provider list. Absolutely insane !!
Copays weren't terrible but I had to have a copay for everything. Dr copay, blood work copay, X-ray copay. 1 dr appointment for my kidney dr would cost me $120 instead of the old $60 with our private insurance. Which used to cost us $1100 for a couple. Still expensive BUT much better coverage and all my drs took it

My mom pays $150 but has a $4000 deductible. It was all she could afford monthly. She basically just hopes that she doesn't need to use it.

I was looking into a plan for a family and with the level of coverage we are used to, the plan was $1800 a month.

$0. We have no income at the moment. Once DH starts getting paid (he just started a new job), I'm not quite sure how much it will be but right now we are very grateful to not only have insurance but no cost insurance. We will eventually get on his employers plan once he's eligible.
