I'll probably be using Similac with iron...my mother works at a hospital and that is what they use (plus she might be able to score some for me!!)....unless of course DD has iron allergy, in which case it will be without the iron.

If you are planning on buying ahead of time, I wouldn't. You don't know what the hospital will put you on and what will agree with her.

The hospital put us on Similac.

I agree. I had tentatively planned on using Good Start again as DD loved it. She actually would get terrible gas on the Similac and after about 4 days, I tossed out what they gave me and tried the Good Start. Our hospital this time used Enfamil and DS does GREAT on it. He barely spits up! Due to that and the stomach issue he had at birth, I chose NOT to change his formula at home.

The hospital put us on Similac.

Ditto...
esp if she is like my DD who is now on special pricey formula.

I have about 20 cases of Similac Advance already (from a family member) if he is allergic to that I can exchange it for another kind.

Similac since I know that's what my hospital uses. My DS was on it and didn't have any problems so I'm hoping this baby will be fine with it as well.

You will use whatever the hospital starts your child on if it works for him/her - they used Sim Advance, so I stuck with it....

I am not sure if I am going to formula feed but I have done some research. I am going to ask the pediatrician about the organic formulas that I have looked into and I will ask about switching to organic after the hospital. If they say to stick with the one the hospital uses, then I probably will.
