If you could change anything in your life....................
.................what would you have done differently?
For myself, I wish I went on to get my Masters/PsyD in Psychology like I originally planned. While I enjoyed being a teacher I really loved my studies in psychology and think I would've made an excellent psychologist.
I also wish that after college DH and I took one of the jobs he was offered up in MA instead of going down to FL. I think if we had done that we never would've gone back to the island and we'd be so happy up there. New England is my favorite region! Had we moved up there, I would've also started graduate school sooner than I did.

Re: If you could change anything in your life....................
I would change career paths and go into finance.
I wish I had lived in NYC when I was younger. I had offers from law firms when I graduated law school but chose to stay out here to be closer to DH who was my then boyfriend. I can't believe I let a guy hold me back like that. Lame. Meanwhile, I am the biggest preacher of never let a man hold you back. Do as I say, not as I do.

Re: If you could change anything in your life....................
I wish I would have moved far away after college or a year or so after working at my first job. I wanted to move to San Diego, or Utah, or Tennessee, or Florida, even if just for a little while….I now know I would have been fine wherever I went. I was too scared to take the plunge then, or should I say, then BF now DH was too scared….so much regret letting him hold us back. He thought staying in NY would make the big bucks, never happened as his fear of risk taking has held him back his whole entire career. So the regret is really letting a man hold me back.

Oh, so many things! In my teens/20s, I was always so shy, scared what people thought of me, etc. I just wish I took more risks. This may sound weird, but I wish I slept around! I think it was the result of too many After-School Specials and Catholic school education! LOL!

If you could change anything in your life....................
Back in my early 20s my manager at the time got recruited to work with the RNC in Washington. She wanted me to go with her and I did not because I was scared to move lol. I often wondered what path I would have taken if I did go. Other than that, not much. My life is farrrrrrr from perfect but I don't think I would have changed anything.

Whenever I watch “Below Deck”, I wish I’d have known about the yachting world when I was younger, before getting married and having kids. I’d have loved to experience many places around the world while working and making easy money! Lol!

In hindsight, I wish I earned my Black Belt in MMA. I was almost there. I was training for my test, but then my DS was born, and I had to spend more time with him and DW. Soon after that, I started having shoulder injuries and surgeries, and now my arms don't work the way they used to.

I would have never put my body, our marriage and our finances through 7 years of turmoil to try for children. If it had worked, well, you know the rest. But it didn’t. And there has been so much damage from it all that will never go away.

I'm sorry.

I would have studied abroad in college. I was on student events and made the year commitment to it, so I stayed. Meanwhile my friends all studied abroad one semester and so did one of the members of my committee. I totally should have applied and gone.

I don't really regret much as I believe all things happen for a reason. I do wish I got into an occupation that pays more...but...then, money is not everything and when everything is just handed to you, you don't grow and appreciate things.

Yes! I always felt that school failed us in that they never taught money basics and prepared us for grown up life.
I was so excited to hear that the HS my daughter will be attending has a REQUIRED personal finance class where they teach them money basics, investing, saving, etc. Such a valuable and necessary class.

My kids had that too. Each person is so different though and you can teach and help and some just are better with money than others no matter what resources they are provided.
