What would your facebook page be about?

What is something that you would like to get out there? A problem that you would like people to know about? Something that means something to you?

My music.
I'm working on a tutorial for one of the software applications I use.

The domain name is registered now I just have to learn how to design a website and get the nerve to put all this stuff up there.

DVT and Pulmonary Embolism awareness and more importantly BTDT experiences.

When I was diagnosed, I knew nothing of these health issues yet they kill more people annually than Breast cancer, AIDS and auto accidents combined.

It was hard to find BTDT experiences and survivors to help deal with the physical and emotional side effects.

I'd like to bring attention to Senior Citizens, especially those in nursing homes!! Since my Mom has been in a home for over a yr., I've gotten to observe that many of these dear residents have no one to visit them, or speak a kind word to them, or feel that someone cares about them. There's one little gal, who has the habit of coming up to people, and babbling excitedly, trying to convey she's upset. I take her hand, and speak comfortingly to her, telling her it will be alright. She calms down. I think she understands, because she hugs my hand, bless her heart. I keep thinking, "What can I do, to bring joy into these lives?" It's not easy though, because my Mom gets a bit jealous, if I pay any attention to anyone but her, so I try to balance that by not reaching out to others too much, in her presence. There's a gentleman, I'm told by my Mom, who provides free greeting cards to the residents. Initially, the cards were available in a take as you need cabinet, but I'm wondering if people took advantage, so now the gentleman has a different method of handing the cards out. I enjoy making cards with my Hallmark Card Studio, and have thought of making some to give to the gentleman to hand out. It would be one way to do something for the residents. At Christmas, I provided craft supplies to the craft lady, so the residents could make ornaments for the tree on my Mom's floor. But, I'm not satisfied that I'm doing everything I can; Other ideas would be appreciated!!!! Mary

I have a blog, that is primarily related to stuff for my field.

It's not amazing by any stretch of the imagination like other social work blogs I have read, but I have been able to get involved with a small community of social work bloggers this way which is pretty cool.

I have to be careful too about what I write on there because of the privacy factor. You never know who may be lurking.

I started a blog over a month ago when I started the Paleo Diet and I document recipes that I find and try out and include pictures and directions. It's fun and it a great place for me to keep all my fav. recipes together!

I also have a photography blog but I've been slacking on that one..

I started one related to anything I make or cook/bake for DH and the kids. It's easier for me to share instructions when my friends ask how I make things.

I started a blog. Its all stories and memories about my mom. Random things I think about. Someday it will be good to share with my kids - her grandchildren.
