If you crate your dog, where do you keep it?
Just wondering where you keep your crate, especially if you live in a two story house?
We have a crate (called his box) for our 6 year old long hair chihuahua. We currently keep it upstairs, in our bedroom, on my side of the bed. I think I may need to change that.
Also, anyone have any experience with local dog obedience training? Where did you go? I took a class with a childhood dog at the library years ago and it was such a great thing. I think I need to take my little boy.

The crate for our rottie mix is in our bedroom although we may consider changing that at somepoint as well. As far as training goes we use best friends dog training
They have been amazing, I can't believe how great our Molly is now. I think they have a specific class for small dogs that may help.

The crate is in the kitchen by the sliding glass doors, so she can get sunshine during the day, and so when we come home to let her out, we're already at the back door to let her out to do her business.

We keep Jasmine crated in the living room. We have a split and we are usually in the living room and a short walk to the kitchen door to go out. She will stay there until she has proven she can be let out of the crate.

During the day we keep the crate in the Kitchen, at night it comes upstairs and in the bedroom with us.

When we crated we did this too. Had one in the living room with us, and one in the bedroom with us at night.
No crates anymore thank god.
We went to a Petco training class for about $80, for a few weeks. Well worth the $.

When they were puppies, they were crated in the office. Now they just have beds and they get closed in the office at night (they actually go in there to bed before we get up to go to bed )

Our dogs are crated downstairs, in the sunroom area. They love their crate (we call it their "snuggle shack"), and run for it whenever they think we are getting ready for bed.
