If you did ivf for your first and 2nd was natural...
Just curious if any of you went through fertility treatments for your first and then had your 2nd naturally. I know it's actually common being that the pressure is off...

my sis did. and I know there are a bunch of ladies on the board that are PG with #2 that happened naturally

this happened to my friend. it took her about a year to get pregnant with her first and then #2 was a surprise when they least expected it!

Not the same but similar. My SIL was told she would never be able to conceive. They spent years trying to adopt and finally did. A year later... pregnant! It's so weird b/c I hear a lot of times of people who needed assistance with #1 but not for #2 and vice versa - conceived #1 with ease and needed assistance with #2. The body works in mysterious ways!

Yes same thing. Adopting and then conceiving naturally. I used to hate hate hate when people would tell me to relax but I guess there is some truth to it. But who can relax when going through it and not knowing if it will ever work.
I also know of people with secondary infertility. Who knows. Everyone and every situation is diff.
Someone I worked with starting trying in her late 30s. Did 5 ivfs and on one got pregnant but miscarried at about 14 weeks. Dr told her she would never conceive with her own eggs. Next ivf they used donor eggs and had twins. We'll 6
months later the got pregnant naturally and carried full term. You never know. This was years ago but she had three boys under 2!

Awesome! How far apart will they be? I heard that you are most fertile after pregnancy. I also heard that after an hsg and that didn't work. Haha

Not me personally but I have many friends and family members who needed help to conceive #1 then #2 was naturally or a SUPRPISE!
I know this is not scientific at ALL but I feel like sometimes having a baby really regulates your hormones to the point where all of a sudden you are ovulating on your own.
I know for me- I was irregular ALL my life. I didn't get my first period until 17. Yes 17! Had all kinds of tests, etc. when I didn't have my first period by 15. Found nothing.
All my life- 60 day cycles, 90 day cycles, 6 months between periods.
I was a mess.
I thought I'd never get pregnant on my own. I did.
Now that I have had DD- you could set a watch by my cycles.
I can tell when I ovulate. I can tell that I do ovulate.
It's crazy what having a baby has done to my body.
So - that's my theory.

With my first, I did IF treatments for over a year before I became pregnant. I'm now pregnant with #2, which was completely on our own (even after we were told that was impossible).

For my first, after trying for a year, we went to see an RE and we needed to do an IUI. Luckily it happened quickly and didn't need to do IVF, although the RE thought we might have to. With my second, we got pregnant on our own. The reason we needed help the first time was that I didn't ovulate regularly. I think my first pregnancy and the nursing helped regulate my system. We got pregnant very quickly after we started trying the second time.

W conceived ds1 on our own with no issue. Ds2 took 10 months and eventually and IUI

I didn't do IVF but my DD was conceived via Metformin and IUI. When we tried for #2 we went back for IF treatments and had 2 awful miscarriages, a chemical, and around 4-5 failed IUI's. We took probably a year off, nothing happened. We had run out of IF coverage so we decided to give IUI one last shot and pay OOP. We also used injectables that cycle. Sadly, that failed too. By then we really just gave up. I just tried to come to terms with having just one child, it was sad for me. It wasn't my plan.
But then, by some insane, crazy miracle 3 months later we were pregnant all on our own. No meds, no testing, no IUi's, no doctors. Nothing. Just completely on our own. I was BEYOND shocked because my cycles were always so irregular and I didn't always ovulate. I had been tracking with the CBEFM just in case and when I got the peak reading we had sex maybe 3x but I honestly never, ever expected to get a BFP. Complete and total surprise.
My DS was born happy and healthy this past March. 
I never thought I'd be one of those stories, I never thought it would happen to me after all we'd been through but you never know. Good luck!!!

This happened to my friend and my cousin as well
ETA they were IUIs not IVF so sorry
