if you don't cook.....
do you have trouble finding healthy low fat foods?
I cook as often as I can, but in reality that is NOT very often. I feel that I can lose weight and feel better if I plan better, but sometimes I just have no idea what to plan for my meals (or my husband's). I'm a very picky eater but when I find some horrible junk food that I love, I will eat too much of it.

I've been doing great with Smart Ones lunches....I know the preservatives and such isnt great but for portion control its helped me.
I just try to drink alot to flush the nasty stuff out.
I plan out my week of lunches and dinners on sunday and shop and prep all foods that night so its ready to go on each night.
Try to find foods you can cook in a slow cooker ....or canmake ina flash. I love low fat cheese and veggie quesdillas on the george forman. Make it in 5 minutes!

Well I have to say I DO cook and that is probably the why I am successful. But, it does take a lot of effort to constantly be thinking a week ahead of time, but I plan my week on the weekends, do the shopping for what I need and prep whatever I can in advanced. Sometimes all it takes is making a big pot of chili and having it day after day!
However that being said, I also DO get take out a lot. I've been doing takeout more than going out with DH to restaurants lately only because I order what I want and that's all I eat. Also, I have more control over portions and often have leftovers for days.
It's hard but a little bit of effort can go a long way...good luck

I always keep smart ones at home. If I get fast food I'll try to order healthy like grilled chicken, salad, soup, etc.
I try to stay away from pizza because I can never just have 1 slice.
