If you get family holiday pics taken, do you get hair and makeup done for yourself?

I always have, but some people think I'm crazy. I figure it adds on to the cost of the photo shoot by quite a bit, but I justify the expense by saying that photos last forever.

Anyone else with me on this?

(by hair i don't mean an updo- more like a nice blow out...though this year I may do a Mad Men look and get a "phony-tail")

I never have. But I dont see why not.

Im a disaster when it comes to my hair and make up.

yes i always get my hair blown out and my make up is a little bit more than i normally do!!

In my current financial situation...I can't even afford family holiday pics...much less professional hair & makeup. but when i had e-pics & his newborn shoot...i did it myself. e-pics were outdoor & my hair frizzed so bad & his newborn shoot he peed at me while i changed him and a little got in my hair.
