If you go to Disney ( or Orlando in general) , do you pack diapers, wipes etc?

I'm a serious pack-a-holic I really need to scale down, especially given the new backage fees that the airlines are imposing...

Do you all pack diapers, wipes, formula etc...? Or do you buy when you get down there ???

You would think I've nevere been to Disney before ( menawhile this is my 4th time) ...Please remind me, if theres a Walmart or something along those lines close by so we can just buy this stuff down there...We are staying at the Sheraton Vistana Resort which is really close to Disney

We are going with dd for the 1st time in 3 weeks- she will be almost 4 months

I am a very light packer- we will be staying at a family member's house in Independence and will wash our clothes so no need for lots of them.

As for baby things- we plan to buy diapers, wipes, formula, and liners when we get there andonly pack enough for the airport and plane ride (plus extra in case of delay) but not enough for the whole week.


I am just having trouble with equipment- bought an inflatable baby bed for her that folds up flat so no PNP.... need to bring her car seat base and infant carrier for the rental car but am worried about bringing her Graco stroller after hearing how some have been broken by the airline handlers

I brought enough babyfood, formula, diapers, and wipes for the plane and bought everything else there in Walmart.

I had planned to ship things down ahead of time but decided I had so much in the house to use up, that I just packed it. The extra room in my suitcase from the diapers & wipes fit all our souveniers

I didn't want to lug more then I had to so we had those kind of things delivered by Garden Grocer... it was perfect!

The first time DD was 7 months. We brought enough food, formula, diapers and wipes to get us there plus one day just in case. When we got there we went to Publix (the grocery store) and stocked up for the week.

The second time she was 15 months so we didn't have to worry about food. We stayed on property and didn't have transportation so we packed all the diapers and wipes. The stuff at Disney is so expensive.

So I'm guessing theres a Walmart or Publix real clse by then ??? Thats great and will save me lots of packing !

For you, I'd say shop at Walmart when you get down there. If you stay on Disney property you can shop over the phone and they will deliver your items to the resort.

I haven't been to Orlando, but we've been to Florida 3x with DS.

I would bring whatever you need for one day and then a little bit extra.

I think I've read that you can take a cab if you need to go to Walmart or Publix (I LOVE Publix!!)
