if you had a scare during your pregnany...
and your dr. told you, you could come in once a week to have a sono/heartbeat check would you????
You have to take off from work sometimes, wait over an hour sometimes since your being fitted in.... plus you have a small child at home

Re: if you had a scare during your pregnany...
I had a scare at 20 weeks, so I know how it feels
I'd probably take the doctor up on their offer for a few weeks if I could and then if things seemed normal, I would let it taper off
Hope everything is ok!

Re: if you had a scare during your pregnany...
I probably wouldn't because of the logistics. If it was easier, I might.
My feeling is whatever is going to happen will happen. Seeing a heartbeat each week wouldn't change it & it would probably make me worry more.

Re: if you had a scare during your pregnany...
I'm in my first pregnancy right now.
Basing it off my current experience I don't know that going once a week would prevent what is meant to happen and may only add more stress, difficulty to an already difficult.
I think once a week would be too much but I would certainly consider once every 2 weeks. Or just leave it to the regular monthlys.
With that said, hope all is ok!

Maybe not every week... but I would go if something happened to worry me (spotting, cramping, etc). I have my own doppler though.

Re: if you had a scare during your pregnany...
I would. (I had a scare in my fifth week, and I was nervous for the following 2 weeks until my sono.).... but I would also try to get the first appt so I wouldn't have to wait for an hour.
