If you had a slow leak, can you describe what it was like?

I'm so nervous about this happening and am trying to understand what it is like. My water never broke on its own during my first labor, so I'm clueless! Could you share your experiences?

Be very aware of your baby's movement!!!

I am convinced I was leaking even though it came up negative in my labor check.

I was about a wk and a half or 2 wks before my due date. My panties just always felt wet. I called my dr, but she wasnt there - she was at the hospital. The NP had me come over to the office. The PH paper came up purple (I think that was the coor) which meant there was fluid.

But when I went for my labor check, my Dr. told me it was just discharge.

but, I wound up having low fluid right around my due date. My dr. says it happens naturally, but I think I really was having a slow leak!!

If you feel your baby moving less, like I did, you have to tell your Dr. ASAP and do a sono. The baby had less fluid to move around in. I knew in my gut something wasn't right - I had to be induced right away (it happeed to be on my due date!)

My water broke but it was not a gush. It was more like a little bit of water came out when I beared down or moved around - like a leak.

If you're worried, call your ob. I know many friends who called because they were worried about the same thing. They are so used to getting calls about this & for every one that is wrong, a few are right & it's worth knowing about it.

On the other hand... your baby is almost here!

Not almost enough -- I've got 9 more weeks! I talked with my doctor yesterday and she was a bit dismissive of my concern. I trust her skills, she just isn't very good at talking so I'm glad to come here to get some extra insight!
