If you had your DC's bday party at a party place, what food did you serve?

DS's bday party is booked for 10:30-12.

I was thinking of ordering pizza for the kids and cold cuts and a pasta dish for the parents. We will also be serving cupcakes and cake.

Is this ok?
Am I better off ordering breakfast type foods for the adults like croissants and bagels?

I served pizza for all.

I went to a party that had catered hot dishes, meatballs, pasta, kabobs, grilled veggies, rice and such, and sushi for the adults. It was in Brooklyn, more "show off"y type party ... if you can even have one of those at a party place but the adults (present company included) liked it

just throwing it out there ...

I did my DC's birthday at a party place, but it started at 3:30 so I had catered hot food. They also had a separate room for the adults to hang out in so I had room to put the food.

We did a 2pm party and had pizza for all, supplied by the party place.

The earlier party, around 10:30ish, had hte option of bagels or pizza
