If you have a bedroom set and need to replace 1 piece
in this case, the bed...
here's the question. I have a pine bedroom set and I need to buy a new bed. note to self - NEVER EVER buy pine wood for something like a bed.
back to the question, my taste changed over the years to more contemporary and since I would never buy a pine bed again, I would love to buy a cherry color platform bed. the rest of the furniture is a light pine color. do you think that if I stain the other pieces that it would look better together with the new bed?
I'm not sure what I want to do

It would take a lot of work but a LOT cheaper than buying a whole new set. I stained a set of unfinished furniture before and its hard. You would need to strip all the furniture of any of its current stain(lots of sandpaper) and then put on 3-4 coats of the new stain(with sanding in between each coat) and then a coat of poly.

I guess I will just have mis-matched furniture
