If you have an infant, where does DC nap when you go out?

We were out ALL day yesterday. We had running around to do and went to DH's cousins house for dinner. Luckily, they have a son who is a yr. old so I put DS down for a nap in his crib. But when you go to a family/friend's house that dont have small children do you bring the pack and play so DC can nap or do you just lay him down on the floor/couch with a blanket or just hold DC while they nap? I'm thinking about what I am going to do for the holidays b/c we will be all over the place.

DD is only 4 weeks so we havent been out that much, but when we have, she sleeps in her car seat. I have a graco snap n go.

Car seat, in our arms or on a blanket somewhere but my son only cat naps really.

Both our parents have pack n plays (can you bring yours if you have one?).

DS is 7 1/2 months and although he will pass out in my arms, he gets very irritale when doing so. I was so adimant about having him sleep in his crib that's what he is used to. Although I think the pack and play will work too. I just hate lugging that thing around

When he was small enough he would nap in his carseat, now he'll nap in his stroller.

DD will not nap in her stroller

If we go out to LI to visit, my sister/mom all live within a few minutes of each other. I will put DD to nap in a pack n play at my moms house (she has one, so I don't have to bring it). She will nap in the car also. For the most part...I leave home in time for her morning nap so she sleeps in the car, and then I just have to worry about the afternoon nap.

He was out of the infant car seat at a month old so I never had the luxury of letting him sleep in it.

I usually will put him on a bed in someone's house - surrounded by pillows.

Or, he'll sleep in the stroller. Or a pack and play if a family member has it. (luckily my entire family has kids so I really can't just lay him down in any of their things)

Well we are mostly at our parents houses so they both have pack n plays for my DS. But if not we would travel with our pack n play if we go to a friends house or something.

DS used to nap in his car seat/infant carrier.

DS is 7 months too. He naps in his carseat, stroller or on the floor.
