If you have the Fischer Price My Little Lamb swing...
I've heard great things from a lot of people about this swing but had a few questions.
1. I went to BBB yesterday and wasn't expecting it to be so HUGE! We will likely be in a 2br apartment... if space is limited, is it worth it? Does it fold up and go away or do you leave it out all the time?
2. The My Little Lamb swing is adorable. However, I see it only takes batteries. There is a papisan version that I don't think is as cute but which plugs into an outlet. Do you find the battery-only feature to be a problem? Is it possible to use rechargeable batteries? Would we be better off going with the Papisan version? Is it better to save our outlet space for something else?
3. I read a few reviews that referenced a clicking noise. Is it common? How annoying is this?
4. The swing is $159 at BBB and $104 at Amazon. Assuming we were going to keep it on our registry we were going to put it on Amazon... do you think its better to keep it on BBB because of their return policy?
I look forward to hearing from you!

Re: If you have the Fischer Price My Little Lamb swing...
I have the little lamb swing. It is very cute and my DD loved it, but if I were to do it again, I'd get this one:
My best friend has it for her DS. I like it so much better.
It plugs in.
The seat seems more comfy, my DD has napped in it and LOVED it.
Overall, I feel like its a better product and wish I got this one.

we are in a 1b and we have this one and it was great. doesnt take up a lot of space. it goes in 2 directions side to side and front to back. if you have graco car seat it snaps into the swing. dd is almost 10m and still goes in it.

1. It is big and it does not fold up. Totally worth it though. DS LOVED that swing.
2. We had the Little Lamb swing. I don't recall changing the batteries that often and we used it a lot.
3. If the legs are not spread out far enough it will make an annoying clicking noise. I didn't notice one other than that.
4. Not sure.
Exact same answers for me. It could have taken up the entire living room and I wouldn't have cared... that thing was my BFF for the first 6 months, DD loved it!
I actually preferred one with batteries, no wire to trip over. We used it every day several times a day for 6 months and only changed the batteries once.

This 100% If you get cheap batteries then they will go fast. We did that at first and we were changing them like crazy but my DH rigged it so that it could be used at a plug in. I don't know how he did it though.

Re: If you have the Fischer Price My Little Lamb swing...
Have you looked at the Fisher-Price Cradle Swing - My Little Snug-a-Bunny? We originally looked at the Lamb one and then the bunny one arrived at the stores and it's battery operative as well as has an A/C adapter.
This is the one we have:

1. It is big and does take up quite a bit of space. We have it out all of the time.
2. We've used it quite a bit for the past 3 months and havent changed the batteries yet. I did see the bunny version though and was wishing we got that instead since it has a cord.
3. The clicking noise was reallllllly annoying at first. We had to use a blanket on it to weight it down bc it went way too fast (our DD was only 6 lbs 12 oz when she was born.) Once we didn't need the blanket to slow it down (took until about 10-11 lbs), the clicking noise has stopped.
4. I think Amazon has a good return policy as well so I would keep it there if it's cheaper.
**I would have to say although we do find the swing very useful and DD likes it a lot, I think a cheaper, more compact version would be just as good. I had seen good reviews on the Fisher-Price space saver swing.

I TOTALLY AGREE! My DS is almost 3 months now and all of my friends with kids said this swing was a "must have" -- it is his FAVORITE! We still haven't changed the batteries and he is in it twice a day. No complaints -- takes up a good amount of space but not much more than the other swings out there -- definitely get it!! I know of people that got other swings and ended up buying this one in the end anyway!
