If you highlighted your hair, at what point did you do it?

Can I do it when I am only 12 weeks? is that too early? Should I hold off?

I highlighted my hair last Saturday. If I were you I would wait just a bit more.

I have no BTDT but I am going to wait until I am out of my first trimester to get mine done again. I think 13 weeks would be safe.

I have heard highlighting is safe at any point since it really doesn't touch your scalp but I am not one who is able sit comfortably with that.

I did it at 10 weeks, the dr said it was fine as you don't bleach the actual scalp.. I am blondeee so I had to do itttttttttttt

I waited til I was 15 weeks.

I did it at 6 weeks and then at 18 weeks...Im due soon again...its doesnt matter when you do it.

I did it twice already....I think Dr's have mixed views about this so I'd use my own judgement if I were you.

I did it twice. Once at 12 weeks and the 2nd at 20 weeks.

Edit: my dr said it's fine especially highlights.

I did a semi perm. color with vegetable dye @ 13 or 14 weeks and @ 23 weeks I did hilites- toned with vegetable dye.

Just an FYI my hairsresser had to put the toner on me 3 times because of all the crazy hormones it was not sticking on my hair

My hair is a MESS and I don't highlight... I color it. Highlights wash me out.

I've done it probably 5 times!(I am high maintenance lol) Started at 6 weeks.

I did it at 5 weeks, again at like 12/13 weeks, and I'm doing it again next week (30 weeks). My Dr said highlites are totally safe!

I did it at 14 weeks and I have an appt when I will be 25 weeks.

i think its ok if you do it now.

I got my hair done the week I found out (before I knew), at 14 weeks and again at 23 weeks.

My cousin is a hairdresser and works with dyes, bleach and chemicals all day and came out with 2 healthy children. If she can breathe it in all day and get it on her skin then the few times I get it done will be fine. What do all the hairdressers do? Surely not quit for 9 months, right?

I did it at about 9 weeks & am going again next week (38 wks)

I waited it out till 14 weeks, but the Dr said ok at 12...

first time 12 weeks and then i held off (and dealt with two toned hair LOL) and I just went again like 2 weeks ago(i was 37 weeks), i figure after the baby comes i wont have the time to get it done for awhile.

I did it in my first trimester and am due for another appt in the next few weeks. I wouldn't worry since it doesn't touch your scalp.

5 weeks is when I started and I did it every 4-5 five weeks throughout my whole PG (it's HARD to be blonde!!!)

My doc made a joke when I asked at my first appt (4 weeks) like what, you aren't a real blonde????

I did it around 18 weeks

highlights I got done I think around 14-15 weeks.

If you are doing foils, you will be fine now because nothing actually touches your head. Just make sure your salon is ventilated or have them put a fan near you. I found I got a headache easily unless there was a fan going.
