i have done it a few different ways... I have steamed apples first, then using that water, steamed some chicken, put it in the magic bullet, then froze it in ice cube trays. When serving I would put one cube of chicken in with a veggie or fruit.
I have brown chopped meat in a skillet and then did the magic bullet and the rest from above...
I also made baby chilli which she loved or pureed left over steak, pork or chicken that we may have had from dinner...

I would boil it, and then puree it with stock in the Magic Bullet.

Re: If you make your own baby food...
I never made my own meat. I didn't make all of his baby food, only some of it, and I don't prepare meat for myself either. I know a lot of people who really didn't do pureed meats. They just waited to introduce meat.

Re: If you make your own baby food...
I either bake the chicken or sautee the ground chicken/turkey/beef (usually whatever we are eating) Then I put it in the magic bullet with a little broth (either beef or chicken or turkey) then I add whatever vegetable and puree that all together in the magic bullet.

Re: If you make your own baby food...
I never gave my kids jarred meats. I didn't puree ours.. just waited until they were old enough and cut them into bitty pieces or gave them ground meat.

Re: If you make your own baby food...
I always made my own meat because it tasted better. At first I tried to simply boil and puree the meat, but I soon realized that it didn't work for DS- no flavor. I started adding a bunch of spices and onion (stuff that I would put into my own meat) and he loved it. He also had a thing for chicken mixed with apples.

Re: If you make your own baby food...
I didn't give them jarred meats but I didn't realy make meat baby food. I started them with shredded chicken or meat loaf, it was never the consistency of the jarred food though.
