If you order holiday cards or announcements through Shutterfly...

do you notice the pictures look dark?

I ordered my birth announcements through them and thought the pictures were dark b/c of my camera. I just ordered Christmas cards and they look the same way but I know the quality of the pictures themselves is good b/c they were taken with a professional camera by Forever Fireflies. The cards were both matte, could that be why they look darker?

I've never had any problems. But thats why alot of pro photogs dont do CD's, or generally prefer to take care of prints, cards, etc. themselved - because they might not be calibrated to the specific lab you choose to print at.

Shutterfly DOES have excellent customer service, so I would at least try to contact them. You might not get your order redone for free, but they may give you a discount. Cant hurt to send them an e-mail.

I had my birth announcements done through shutterfly and I think it came out great. I would give their customer service a call.

I just got my Christmas cards today from shutterfly in glossy and they look great. I have also order regular prints in the past and didnt have any issues. Give them a call and see if anything can be done.
