do you include a gift receipt? Also, do you try to shop from a store that is easy to get to from the address you are sending the gift to in case they need to return it?
Some of the items that the kids asked for are cheaper at Walmart or Target than Toys R Us, so I can get them more stuff, but they don't have either of those stores near them at all if they need to return them.

I don't include gift reciepts. We try to get exactly what the kids want so there would be no need to return. (I went NUTS last year looking for a pink Ipod!! Had to be pink!)
It may sound bad, but I don't trust that someone in their life may take their toy, return it and do something else with the money.
ETA: If I was giving clothes, I would include a reciept since you dont really know if it will fit or if the person would like it. We do the winter wishes program and all the kids usually ask for specific toys so there really is no need for reciept for it. It seems that for the JCPenny program many ask for clothes so for that I would give one.
