If you started your pregnancy on progesterone suppositories........(personal and weight related)
.. did you find that you gained between 10-15lbs during the first tri alone?! I gained 12 so far and only 14 weeks and I feel like that's just SO abnormal. I'm going to my dr this week and worried they will tell me I should consider seeing a nutritionist.
I feel like I'm gaining weight faster than anyone else I know and it's making me really nervous!! I feel like I must be eating the wrong things or something By 9 weeks my STUDENTS asked if I was pregnant and I had people rubbing my bloated belly.. and now at 14 weeks I seriously look more like 20.
Can anyone relate? I just feel like 12lbs at this point is so NOT typical!! I'd like to blame the progesterone .. what do you ladies think?

i was SO bloated when i was on the progesterone too. my face was so puffy and my skin was terrible. once i stopped taking them, i feel like i 'deflated' and my skin started to look so much better. then, at 20 wks, to had to start the prog injections and it all started again!

It's prob a combination of both. Try to adjust your diet but don't stress over it. You may be one of those people who gains very little later in pregnancy- then it will all even out. As long as the baby is healthy don't worry about the weight so much.
After the LO comes you can just breast feed like crazy & you'll get back to your old weight.

Re: If you started your pregnancy on progesterone suppositories........(personal and weight related)
Progesterone def can add to bloating and weight gain! I am sure you are not eating out of control....it really has a lot to do with how your body responds to the progesterone.
I was up 5lbs by 8 week appt & my face was so bloated. By the time I went back for my 12 week appt I had lost the -5lbs, so I def think i lost the weight once I stopped the progesterone. That doesn't happen for most though...usually w progesterone you gain weigh right away in the 1st trimester and it stays.
I wouldn't worry about it, some people just gain more in pregnancy than others. You may even find that in the next few wks your weight gain will slow down.
So dont beat yourself up for it. You have been on progesterone which is the main cause of your weight gain.
I am sure you still look great!!!!!

I was on progesterone from about 5 weeks to 11 weeks. I felt huge the entire time and was a bloated mess.
Now I have been off of them for 6 weeks and I feel much better. I just had an appointment when I was 16 and 1/2 weeks and I was up 8lbs, but I think most of that 8 was put on in the earlier weeks than later.
Don't worry,, I bet your weight gain starts to really slow down soon

Yep.. that's pretty much how I feel on fertility meds 24/7.
It is very sucky, but the end result is worth it.
To answer the OP, I didn't gain but I was SO bloated and was in maternity pants almost immediately with DD.

I was on a lot of meds trying to get pregnant. Progesterone was one of them.
The bad news is, I gained about 20 lbs over my base-weight trying to GET pregnant.
The good news is, I haven't gained much DURING pregnancy... I'm def. within normal.
Will have to diet either way when all is done to take the extra weight off.

I was on progersterone till 12 weeks and also estrogen patches for 1 week. I was up 13 bs. by 12 weeks and started freaking out. The weight gained leveled off after that. I can't go back on that weight, but I am not gaining as quickly as I was. I definitely eat well. Everyone's body responds differently to pregnancy. I feel gross, but I also know that this is just the way my pregnancy is and I can't wait to meet my LO! I'll just work hard to lose it when its all over.
