do you mean getting a HELOC?
its not as much of a process as a mortgage.
most places you dont pay closing costs or any fees whatsoever.

There is some paperowrk you have to sign but nothing like when you firt bought the house. If you are doing it with the same mortgage company they usually lessen the paperwork for you.

I just want to take out a Home Equ to pay for some renovations in our kitchen/bathroom! It would be about $50,000
