if you wanted to freeze meatloaf
would you cook it first or just mix and form and freeze raw?

depends what is in it. if there are veggies chopped in it, i would definitely cook first because if you freeze it might let off too much water.

Re: if you wanted to freeze meatloaf
It's mixed with bread crumbs, eggs, milk, onion, and herbs/spices. I'm thinking cooking it is best too.

I always cook it first. I defrost it over night in the fridge and then just reheat it in the microwave.

i never cook mine, i just freeze it in a disposable loaf pan. its got onion and egg in it too. when i want it, let it thaw in the fridge for at least 24 hours and cook as normal. never had an issue with it. (And i always make it as 2 meals and freeze one of them.)

Re: if you wanted to freeze meatloaf
Thanks everyone! I ended up cooking it and freeing it. Hoping it tastes good the second time around.
