If you wear contacts...
You have to wear your glasses when giving birth right?

Re: If you wear contacts...
I wore my contacts when I gave birth, but one of my books said that you had to take them off, so I got cute new glasses just in case

Re: If you wear contacts...
My Dr. told me I didn't have to take them out when I was in labor. I asked him again when I WAS in labor and he said no problem, leave them in if your more comfortable with them instead of glasses.

Re: If you wear contacts...
Its the anesthesiologists that don't want you to wear the contacts in the event you need and emergency c-section, the same reason they don't want you to wear jewelry

Re: If you wear contacts...
I had my glasses on but right before I started pushing I put my contacts in-guess I wanted to look good when everyone came to see her and take pics!

Re: If you wear contacts...
My water broke at 6:30 a.m., so after I showered, I didn't even bother to put on my contacts, nor did I even pack them. As much as I hate my glasses, I wore them the whole time, it was jsut easier, especially since I knew I was having a c/s.

Re: If you wear contacts...
I mainly wear contacts but always have my glasses with me. I will see how I feel during L & D on which one I want to wear.

Re: If you wear contacts...
I was allowed to keep them in during delivery, but was told if I had to ave a c-section they would have to come out.

See I wouldn't want to have to deal with taking out contacts right before a C-section...so I guess it will be glasses for me

I had an emergency c/s and no one ever said anything about the contacts...they stayed in.
ETA: I was also wearing jewelry.
