If you went into labor naturally did you lose you rmucus plug first?
And, if so, when?
WIth my DS I started to lose it 24 hrs b/f. It was my "warning sign" so to speak. This time I keep checking the tp (I am 40 wks today) and NADA - does that mean there is no hope for me? My OB said that since I am already over 2cm dilated I probably lost it and didn't notice but, I would notice. And, that was like over 2 wks ago now and still nothing!
Just curious if everyone loses their mucus plug b/f going into labor. TIA!

3 days before my due date I lost my mucous plug around 8:30am, contractions started right after that, was at the hospital by 12:30pm and had DD at 4pm that same day! I was 1.5 cm dilated at my 39 week appointment.

Ok so it can happen even faster than my last pregnancy - that is good news! I'm not in a hurry since I have a cold but, I don't want to get to the point where i need to be induced...

I had my weekly dr appt on a friday. I was not dilated and she told me i was still a little high. Saturday night around 11:30pm I started having bad back pains. Sunday morning at 12:30 (an hr later) I had a bloody show and my contractions started right away. Went to the hospital and I was already 3cm. I had DD 11 hrs later. That was at 40 wks

lost mine for about 2 days, then bloody show on day 3...water broke that night and went into labor..when I got to the hospital I was already 6cm
I had a non stress test that morning and wasn't dialated at all

Baby #1- I lost the mucus plug over a week or so.
Baby #2- I didn't lose the plug before my water broke.

never lost my mucas plug or did my water break for either pregnancy.
i went into labor with my 2nd, my 1st never went into labor

I lost mine about 2-3 days before I went in to labor, at 37 weeks.

I lost my mucus plug literally right before my water broke. I was already 10cm and in the hospital.

DD I lost it around 7 or 8pm & started having contractions around midnight. With DS I lost it around 10 or 11am & then started again with contractions around midnight.

And I don't agree with the 2cm. I was past 3 both times with mine.

began losing it early like 35-36 weeks with my DS but didnt go into labor till 41 weeks

my water broke like a fountain, and was very bloody - but no mucus plug... unless all the blood was the mucus plug? Not sure...

I was 40w 4days when I started to lose mine. It was 6PM on a Tuesday. By 1AM Wednesday morning contractions had started and I delivered DD at 5:45PM on Wednesday.
I did hear that not everyone loses theirs, though.

I went into labor at about 6am and I lost it at around 11am in the shower. I was also dilated 2cm at my 39 week appt. I had no warning signs.
