DH actually bought the diamond for my e-ring at the jewlery exchange in Tri-County. It was certified and everything.

how about the diamond district? - they sell diamonds out of their settings.

yes - my friend melissa and her hubby got their rings there.
they are known for their jewelry exchange - commack has one too.
this is if you don't want to travel into the city - it's a hike.

good old gold in massapequa. the store itself is very modest but the owner (jonathan) is SO helpful and knowledgeable.
just read on the site that they are a LIW vendor.

The local news channel just did a feature on this online diamond seller. I checked out the prices and they seem pretty darn good! I can't recommend them personally but the local Fox affiliate recommended them.

family friend who is a "dealer" in the diamond district. Dh chose a loose stone for my engagement ring and then chose the setting....
