If you worked out during your pregnancy
Did you find that the weight came off quicker after you had the baby?
I have all intentions of continuing Zumba a few times a week and I'm hoping it helps me to lose it after!

I worked out until a few days before birth but I'm still struggling to lose the baby weight. I would say the only post-pregnancy advantage was that the muscles never got out of shape and i was ready to jump right back into working out once my c-section ills healed.

No, I cannot say the pounds flew off after delivering--it took me a long time. But yes, I think it helped to have some muscle underneath it all.

I worked out just as much with both and the lbs came off much quicker with Lola.
I watched what I ate more after Lola though... I wasn't as ravenous as I was BFing Bella. So maybe the fact I wasn't shoving food in my mouth 24-7 helped

I did yoga until a few days before giving birth. The baby weight came off pretty quickly, but I think it had more to do with BFing than working out while pregnant.

Worked out for one pregnancy. Did not work out for the other, but was an active person in general. Weight came off just as fast both times.

I couldn't work out when pregnant with DD. I have been working out with this one (at least for the most part)...and I am hoping that is the case for me. It took me years to get rid of all the pregnancy weight with the first pregnancy...I am so hoping that is not the case for this one

No difference for me but I did feel better after I had Jack. I had dare I say more energy and felt like I healed a bit faster.

I will let you know in a few weeks.
The one thing I wanted to tell you is, zumba is going to kick your butt pregnant, even only being 5 or 6 weeks along. You will get tired faster and you might get hotter faster too. Another thing is, I was told that your heart rate should not go above 140. I didn't buy a heart monitor, I just modified all the jumping once I got to about 20 weeks. Now, at 31 weeks I still feel like I got a work out even though I am not doing high impact any more. The only thing is my hips bother me a little more because of all he movements and I feel more pressure sometimes.

My last to pregnancies:
DS: worked out until the end of pregnancy - maybe only 3/4xweek. Gained 28 pounds, lost all but 5 after birth, and lost all, but my body did not go back to my usualy clothes for about 9mths.
DD (#2) Had gestational, gained 15 pounds, worked out just about everyday - or my blood sugar was high. Lost all wt when I got home, I am now 11 mths out and down 10 pounds post baby.
I 100% think it is b/c I worked out and continued to eat healthy. I did have my moments of crappy food, but for the most part I didn't over indulge. The gestational diabetes also helped me maintain good eating habits.

when i was pregnant with sophia i couldnt work out, i had ms for 5 months and was so much more tired......with jackson i was only sick til 12 weeks and had a ton of energy 2nd tri so i did prenatal workout...summer sanders, i def didnt gain as much with jackson and lost quicker with him too

1st pregnancy I worked out a lot and did manage to lose the weight fast. Then again I'm small and didn't put on a lot. This pregnancy I'm trying to, but it's a little harder. Hopefully I lose it as fast, but we'll see. I seem to be gaining it more
