if your baby is on whole milk - I have a question for you.
In Oct. we are going to Israel - Talia will be getting milk then, so I am wondering how you transport it - do you have a cooler bag? do most restaurants fill your bottles with no problem....do planes have milk on board??

I thought about that to when Julia first started on whole milk, but the doctor said she only need 2 bottles (sippy's) a day of milk, so I give her one in the morning, and one before bed at night, so I didnt have to worry about bringing the milk out with me during the day. Maybe you can do that, but I'm not sure how much milk you Dr wants her to have?

Parmalat sells milk in a box (just like a juice box)....I usually take one with me if I know milk will not be available

I think on a plane they only have the UHT milk, maybe not fresh milk. I would bring a cool bag with milk in it (if you are allowed to bring liquids on the flight with you) Can she drink UHT milk?

Same here, but I've also found restaurants to be very accomodating and they bring me milk if I ask for it. Maybe just bring a bottle bag and get a few of those ice packs, I'm sure the milk will be fine. How long is the plane ride to Isreal? The airline MAY, stressing MAY because of all the new restrictions, keep it in their fridge, they did this for me when John was an infant.

Re: if your baby is on whole milk - I have a question for you.
The planes I have been on have had the 2% parmalat "juice" boxes. I carry the whole milk boxes around with me. I would probably bring a bunch of them just to be sure. I find them in my baking aisle.
When I brought BM with me, I brought it in a cooler and carried it on - no one asked me anything!, but that was before this summer's events. When I checked the cooler at the end of the trip with the freezer bags, they made a big stink and I had to throw the bags away. but it didn't matter at that point.

No advice, but let me know how the trip to Israel goes. We were planning a trip for October as well but since my MIL made last minute plans to come next week I think we're holding off for a while... I'm scared about the long flight with a baby!

You cannot bring milk boxes on the plane...only in checked-bags due to the new safety regulations. You must taste all liquids meant for a baby.
I would think they sell milk over there...you may also need to postpone your trip depending on the status of the War.

Of course they sell milk in Israel! I meant for the plane ride.
Have a little faith - i would never do anything to harm my child, or put her in a bad situation.
