If your cycle is longer than 28 days...
how do you predict when you may be ovulating? I know about the cervical fluid and bbt, but is there an average or general count from day 1 or something? TIA!

Most months I would be 28 days like clockwork and then sometimes out of the blue I would be 30-32 days.
I would still start counting from day 1 of your period and start your ovulation kit from day 12 and go forward. That's how I would do it.

Mine have varied from 35-42 days so starting on day 14 we bd atleast everyother day. I go by my cm and how i'm feeling. I tried CBEFM but it was just not very good for me and my line of work. I think everyother day for 2wks was just fine, but then again i'm not pg so take this with a grain of salt

Mine was 31 days I started OPK'ing around day 12 too...I O'd on day 17...

OPKs and just uses charting sits like fertilityfriend or mymonthlycycles.
my cycles have always averaged at least 32 or 33 days - the OPKs have a chart and tell you when to start testing based on the # of days in your cycle. i wouldn't test until about CD12 for my cycle.

I use this site too. It's really very helpful when it comes to ovulating and AF.

I bought OPK's b/c my cycle varies from 30-38 days. I test from CD 15 on and usually O around CD 20-21
