If your DC's hair changed color, when did it happen?

I am DYING for Sasha to be a redhead like her mommy.

In the light, I see A LOT of red hairs-- almost like highlights. I keep thinking it's the red coming in. But generally, her hair still looks brown, and it appears to be getting longer.

Can I still dream???

Sadie's hair was much darker at birth.

It has gardually been getting lighter and looks very red in some pics. My sister has gorgeous strawberry blond hair so I am wondering what it will turn out to be.

Unfortunately I think it is extremely rare for a mom with red hair to pass it to her daughter. I heard that somewhere...

DS's hair was dark brown at birth, then he lost it around 4-5 months and it came in blond. Now he is 2 and it's dirty blond. Looking at his newborn photos I never would have thought he have ended up so light!

DD's hair lightened over 2 years. She was born with a ton of dark hair. It fell out in a lot of areas giving her the worst/best baby mullet for a long time. When it grew in, it grew in much lighter and she has tons of blond highlights now that it is summer.

DS had blonde hair until about age 3-4. Now he has brown hair...

Did she lose newborn hair? My DS #1 and DD were born with a shock of black hair. After it fell out, DS came in light brown and DD came in blonde. (DS #2 was born bald)

Abby's hair was like black lacquer up until maybe 3 or 4 months old. Her hair gets lighter and lighter with each passing month. Right now, I think her hair is what my natural hair color is (from what I can remember.

I have a "feeling" that my DD is going to have the same color hair as me (red)

yeah- she has pretty much the hair she was born with, but it is filling in a little-- but I am seeing more red, it's just not prominent.

Everyone's kids are so cute though!! Love seeing the progression pics.

DH comes from a family of redheads, though he isn't. And we have it on my side too.

DS' was dark at birth, then had NONE for the longest time, now it is reddish-blonde-brown. It is definitly blonder in the summer

Jacens hair was black when he was born. Then it turned brown around 2 months old. Then around 9 months old it started to turn dirty blonde.

DS was really reallly light blond (but not "white") when he was born and until 1. He is now 2 and a darker blond. We knew all along DS will not stay blond. He will most likely be light brown like the rest of our family members. My dad, sister and grandmother were blond as kids then turned light brown between 2 and 10. DH was blond and turned light brown too in childhood.

Lily's hair gets lighter and lighter. It was almost jet black at birth, and now, at 2, it's a light brown with little blonde highlights.

Elizabeth's hair has been getting lighter and lighter. For awhile it looked reddish, but I don't see it anymore.

DD was born with a little dark brown hair. Within a few weeks, it looked lighter, now it's pretty much blonde/dirty blonde. Some days it looks like it has red highlights.

I was born bald, had blonde hair for a few years, then it turned brown.

DD was born with dark brown hair, the doc when she was born said it would lighten up
shes 18 months now and has a beautiful reddish hair colour.

DD#1 actually lightened very quickly - I would say by 5-6 months if not sooner - she lost most of her baby hair and the new hair that grew in was much lighter:

Robbie was black haired as a baby and then it fell out and turned BLONDER THAN BLONDE when he was about 1 year old... it started going darker at about 2 and is now a light sandy brown.

DD was born with PITCH BLACK hair. it has gradually, slowly lightened....she is 3 yrs old now and it is a light brown with some blonder highlights.

Kaydyn was born with jet black hair and she is now 18 mos and it just keeps getting lighter and lighter. With being outside so much this summer it's almost turned blond.

My niece and nephews hair changed until they were 5/6. They were all born with blondish hair and now the two older ones have brown hair.
