If your DH works nights...
What do you usually do for dinner? DH works nights so I find that I am really not eating home cooked dinners much - dinner tends to be yogurt, salad, leftovers, a frozen meal, nothing much. I need to start having healthier dinners but since it is just me, it is hard to motivate myself to cook.

JT doesn't work nights anymore, but when he did, I basically did the same thing, a frozen meal and a salad. I would also invite my sister over for dinner a lot of have dinner with mom and dad. I hate eating dinner alone.

Re: If your DH works nights...
My DH doesn't work nights, but he usually works out after work and then doesn't like to eat until later. On Sundays I usually cook something big--a turkey, chicken, a bunch of chicken breasts--then I eat that leftover for dinner throughout the week. I eat it on salad, with a side, on a sandwich...I know I would never cook a complicated meal for just me every night and I get so sick of Lean Cuisines.

When DH isn't home, I usually just have soup or a sandwich. He always teases me about what I'm going to eat because he does the cooking.

That is my problem too, Rob does the cooking.

When we first got married my DH worked rotating shifts so one week every 5 weeks I was on my own for dinner & this is what I'd do (or I'd not eat) & still do if he works OT. He now is on straight days and he is the cook in the house.

This is my downfall too. I eat at lot of take out for dinner.
I'll try doing what Beth does- cook a lot on Sundat and eat it over the week.

Re: If your DH works nights...
DH studies late most nights - my dinner tended to be soup, a sandwich or something simple until I made a deal with myself to cook A LOT at least two nights each week so that I'll eat actual meals more often. It's worked out pretty well.
