if your infant did not sleep for long stretches..
when did they start sleeping for longer stretches (5-6 hours). My dr said that by 10 weeks, my son should be giving us 5-6 hours at night....we get 3...

DS is 12 weeks old, and he just started to give us 5-6 hour stretches. If we put him down at 9:30, he'll wake up at 3/3:30 ish, then he'll wake up at 5:45 and he thinks that is time that everyone should be up for the day .

My DS gives me one good 5 -7 hour stretch then will take a bottle and go back down for 3/4 hours. He started at 4 weeks.

DS was like 3.5 months when he would sleep 6-7 hr stretches. Now DD she is another story. She is the one that is going to give me stress. LOL. She sleeps 5-6 hurs right now and she is 4 mths.

My DD is almost 11 weeks and she was giving me 7 hour stretches. She was going to sleep at 8pm and then waking up for a 3:30amfor a feeding and then going back to sleep until 7am or later. She even slept completely through the night on 3 separate occasions.
As of recent, the last 2 nights, she goes down at 8pm and then wakes up for a feeding between 12am and 1am and then wakes up again for a bottle between 3-4am. She then sleeps to 7am or 8am. My doctor did say they go through a growth spurt around this time.

my dd is 11 days old and i've been breastfeeding her. i find that the sucking really makes her sleepy so at night i get a 5 hour stretch of sleep. i hope that lasts!!!!
