If your kids sit at the regular dining/kitchen table

Do you have to wash the entire chair and table including underneath after every meal? I swear my kids manage to make my dining room set a sticky crusty mess no matter what they are eating. When can I expect to just wipe off the table after eating and not get into a full detailing session each time?

DD is only 2.5 and yes, her spot is generally a mess from the table to the floor. Of course, so is DH's so I'll be mopping up for the rest of my life.

Yes, they are 3 and 5 and since we don't have a big enough kitchen for a table (just stools at the counter), we eat dinner in the dinig room. It's always a mess, luckily it's nota formal dining room, very casual.

Oh yes! I have to cover his chair with a towel, then I have to basically scrub his area of the table and of course vacuum up what the dog doesnt get.

Its such fun!
