If your two car seats are a Britax and something else...please come in! - update in first post
OK - we had the convertible carseats installed this weekend We have one Britax Boulevard that was on our registry and given as a gift to us. We never got the other one and I was not spending $350 on a 2nd car seat so we went with the Graco My Ride 65. Britax is in my car. Graco just looks so much comfier for DS and easier to use. Kind of surprised that the Britax doesn't have cup holders and a level on the side like the Graco. So, my question is - do you like your Britax? Why is it considered so wonderful? I guess I'm trying to decide if I should return for another Graco...
Thanks!!
Update - First of all, thanks for all your opinions, ladies. I just spoke to a manager at Buy Buy Baby where it was bought off our registry over a year ago. I was truthful and said we just put it in the car this weekend so it is technically "used." She asked if we still had the box, which we do. So she said to drive around a couple of days with him in it and see what I thought. If I want to bring it back to her in a few days, I can - I'll get the lowest sale price but that is only $10 less than what it was purchased for so I am fine with that. I actually just went out to the car with him to put him in it and see how I felt - I will prob like it better once I move it to the passenger side - which I think I'm going to from the middle.
Many thanks!

Love my Britax Marathon!!
What's so great about it? No, seriously - I guess I'm just wondering, now that I have it, what's so wonderful? I'm wondering is it better somehow as he gets bigger and is less of a baby more of a toddler?

I love it. Ds has tons of room. And isnt so ansy in it. I also stole a cup holder from my other seat and put it on there. I just feel like its great quality. I believe tru sell cup holders for them. Not 100% on that, but pretty sure.

I think the Britax has a higher safety rating than most other car seats.

It's really easy to install. Super Comfy and has great ratings.

This is why we opted for it. We have the Marathon & love it. DS is 16m old and is very comfortable in it.

We have a Britax and my in-laws have an Evenflow. I hate the starps get twisted and then you can never tighten it enough. I love our Britax and will be purchasing another one for our new baby.

We had a Britax in one car and another brand in our SUV. I hated the other one so much that when BRU had a deal when you traded in baby equipment I did that and used the coupon to buy another Britax. My major complaints with the other one were: straps twisted constantly, and buckle was hard to connect and disconnect. Even DH, who was floored by the prices of the Britax seats, told me to get rid of the other one ASAP.

I have 3 britax carseats. I have a roundabout, marathon and advocate. I love them all except the advocate. It is huge and had the side impact piece on each side of DD's head so she can't really see out the window. She hates it! I was thinking of selling in and getting a Graco My Ride or Nautilus instead.

I think the Britax has a higher safety rating than most other car seats.
There is no seat on the US market that is any "safer" than another. The crash tests are pass or fail.
"Safe" is a misnomer, misuses and poor installation are bigger problems. Britax became a tech favorite due to ease of install and higher weight limits. Other brands have caught up.
We have a Britax Boulevard, a Graco MyRide, a First Years True Fit and a Cosco Scenera.
Hands down the easiest seat to use, install and the one my RF'ing DD likes the best (She is 3, she can tell me) is the Graco MyRide.
Ultimately, the "safest" seat is the one that is used correctly 100% of the time, fits your car, your child and your budget.

Hey! So your daughter is less than 40 lbs? I was considering getting the Myride so I could keep them RF but D already weighs 35 bs and just turned 2...right now I have them FF in Britax marathons

Re: If your two car seats are a Britax and something else...please come in!
DD1 is only 22lbs. She is a major peanut. She turns 3 next month. We have discussed FF her in our smaller car this coming summer.
I don't know if I'd spend the money on another seat to RF for another 5 pounds at 2 years old, although you could recoup most (if not all) of the cost of a MyRide if you sell your Britax. Definitely a tough decision. I'd take the kids to the store and see how they fit in the MyRide and how much room they have left and how the seat fits in the car first.

I'm of no help since we returned our Britax for the graco my ride 65. My DD loves it. We tried them all out and she is sooo comfy in there and even the reviews and everything, they are just as safe as the britax and have all the plus's the britax have at 1/2 the cost.
